Waveguide Tube

A waveguide tube is a hollow metallic conduit used to direct and carry electromagnetic waves in microwave, radio frequency, and other communication systems. It supports efficient signal transmission over a range of frequencies, providing a controlled path with minimal loss and dispersion.

Rectangular Waveguide Tubing

Select the Waveguide Size, Material and Cut Length

Use the operating band to select the WR family, then define the tube material, wall condition, finished length and dimensional requirements. Standard catalog lengths are 2000 mm; cut-to-length supply and longer sections are confirmed by size and quotation.

Electrical Selection

Match the WR Family to the Required Band

The catalog covers standard rectangular waveguide sizes from WR2300 through WR10. Model selection should be based on the system operating band and the required mating interface.

Frequency rangeConfirm the complete operating band, not only the center frequency.
Attenuation basisUse the published values for preliminary comparison and define the applicable acceptance method in the order.
Power referencePeak and continuous-wave values are catalog references and require assembly-level review.

Mechanical Selection

Define Material, Wall and Finished Length

Aluminum is listed across the lower-frequency large-size range, while copper is used across the smaller millimeter-wave sizes. Several intermediate sizes are listed with aluminum or copper options.

LengthState the finished cut length and any end-preparation requirement.
Wall optionIdentify standard, thin or heavy wall when it is controlled by the project.
Material gradeSpecify aluminum alloy, OFHC copper, brass or another required alloy rather than using only a generic material name.
