Which modes and connections do you need?
A frequency alone is not enough to select a mode converter. The mode and mechanical connection at each end need to match the rest of the assembly.

Does your load need adjustment?

The converter-plus-tuner entry combines two functions. If a separate tuner suits your layout, compare its waveguide connection and operating conditions with the converter. Keep access to the adjustment points in the installation drawing.

Check the fit before placing the order
Electrical ratings are not enough if the flanges, connectors or mounting points do not fit. A marked-up drawing is the clearest way to show the space you have.
Replacing an existing assembly
Send the old drawing or a photo with marked dimensions. Include the mode pair, flange faces and the space available around adjustment and cooling connections.
Designing a new connection
A simple sketch showing the equipment on each side is useful. Mark the required modes, waveguide sizes, operating frequency and mounting positions.
Use the flange designation guide when naming the mating connection. Include a photo if the flange code is not known.
Agree on the build and the checks

What is the difference between mode conversion and a size transition?
A mode converter changes the electromagnetic field pattern being carried. A size transition joins specified waveguide interfaces. State the required input and output modes so the right component is considered.
Can I order a 915 MHz version from the table?
The feature summary mentions 915 MHz, while the detailed model entries shown here are 2450±50 MHz. A 915 MHz requirement needs its own configuration confirmation.
What are the gain, polarization, dimensions and weight?
The source page does not provide completed values for these fields. Ask for the values and drawing for the selected configuration. They should not be taken from a similar-looking product.
Does the tuner entry mean every model has adjustable VSWR?
No. The catalogue separates converter-only entries from the Mode Converter+Tuner entry. The tuning-range entry applies to that listed arrangement and needs to be confirmed with the chosen model.
