The ring- focus antenna is usually called the parabolic focal axis offset axisymmetric dual mirror antenna. Since the focal trajectory of the antenna is a circle, it is called the circular focus antenna.

Especially in the small and medium satellite communication earth station, this kind of antenna can overcome the disadvantage of the secondary occlusion caused by the corrugated horn as the primary feed than by the secondary mirror.
