The logarithmic periodic antenna is the main preferred form of the low frequency uwb directional antenna. The antenna family can cover octave bandwidth or even uwb bandwidth of nearly 100 octaves. The gain can be as high as 9dB. At ultra-low frequencies, a hybrid design is adopted to achieve a high integration of the antenna size with respect to the wavelength.
